Rajasthan Foundation Dubai Chapter Participates in Consultation on Welfare and Empowerment of Indian Workers

The Rajasthan Foundation Dubai Chapter participated in a consultation with Smt. Sripriya Ranganathan, Secretary (CPV & OIA), Ministry of External Affairs, at the Indian Consulate in Dubai. The meeting focused on issues concerning blue-collar and women workers and was also attended by the Ambassador of India to the UAE and the Consul General of India in Dubai.

During the consultation, Shri Amararam Ji highlighted the vital role of the Embassy, Consulate, and community organisations in supporting the Indian diaspora, particularly in worker welfare, insurance, and stronger community–government coordination.

Ashish Garg, General Secretary of the Rajasthan Foundation Dubai Chapter, emphasised the significant contribution of Rajasthani workers to the UAE’s growth and the importance of expanding opportunities through skill development, professional certification, and improved career prospects.

Komal Jajoo, Chairperson of the Chapter’s Women’s Wing, proposed a structured awareness and orientation programme to educate blue-collar and women workers about employment rights, salary entitlements, insurance coverage, contractual obligations, and available support mechanisms.

The consultation reinforced the importance of moving beyond worker welfare towards empowerment, skill development, and greater dignity for Indian workers in the UAE.
